Uncle Monty lived in a house
That was full of reptiles.
Some of them were inches short,
And some when on for miles.
After their stay at Count Olaf's,
The Baudelaires had a chance they had to take.
But Monty opened the door and said,
"Come in! I've made coconut cream cake!"
The were happy, unlike at Count Olaf's,
Where they were full of gloom.
Monty pointed to a door and said,
"This way to the Reptile Room!"
They met the snakes, and Sunny made friends
With the Incredibly Deadly Viper.
But Count Olaf reappeared
As sneaky as a snipper.
He disguised himself as Stephano,
Who was an Italian man.
But he had reinforcements,
In his acting clan.
When he got in he told them all
Of his adventures in Milano.
"I don't know who he is," Monty thought,
"But this is not Stephano."
With Count Olaf in the house, the Baudelaires worried
About the uncle they had cherished.
They found him the next day on the foor;
Uncle Monty had perished.
With their uncle gone the police came,
And gave the reptiles away.
Recorded in their miserable lives,
This is the saddest to say.
They climbed into Mr. Poe's car,
And took one last glance at the reptile-cut greens.
What misfortune will follow them,
When they stay with Aunt Josphine?
